How long does an asphalt shingle roof last in Indiana?+
Anywhere from about 15 to 40 years, depending on the product. Three-tab shingles typically last 15 to 20 years, while architectural and premium shingles last significantly longer. Installation quality, ventilation and Indiana's hail, wind and freeze-thaw cycles all affect the real number.
Should I repair or replace my roof?+
A small leak or a few lost shingles on a younger roof can usually be repaired. If the roof is approaching the end of its lifespan, leaks keep coming back or there are several problems at once, replacement is often more cost-effective than paying for repairs again and again. A free inspection tells you which.
Will homeowners insurance pay for a new roof?+
It depends on the cause. Sudden damage from covered events such as wind, hail, fallen trees, fire or lightning may qualify. Normal aging, poor maintenance and gradual leaks usually do not. We inspect, document the damage and guide you through the claim.
